Missoula, Montana........The Garden City
The second largest city in Montana, approximately 60,000 people and 100,000 people in the immediate surrounding areas call it home.
Missoula's downtown area is a unique cultural center with a mixture of big city sophistication and beautiful, easy local flavor. You will find art galleries, fine dining and exceptional shopping.
There are also many opportunities to enjoy the great out doors that is only Montana. Take a walk on the paved River Trail system that follows the Clark Fork River through Missoula. The River Trail runs through Caras Park where you will find The Carousel, a magical carousel with handmade and handpainted wooden horses.
The Carousel is next to volunteer-built Dragon Hollow Play Area.
Near here you can also find Brennan's Wave, a waterpark for kayakers.
Within walking distance and very short driving distance in nearly any direction, you can take off for a day hike in the beautiful Rocky Mountains.
Find fresh flowers, produce, baked goods, handmade artwork, finery and music on Saturday mornings in the summer at the Clark Fork River Market
under the Higgins Bridge and at the People's Market in downtown Missoula just off of Higgins on Pine Street.
Missoula is also home to the University of Montana and The Grizzlies. Missoulians are known for their pride in and love of their Griz, making it an exciting place to be during games and homecoming weekend.
The Missoula Osprey, our own minor league baseball team, also claim Missoula as their home and play games from about June - September.
Wintertime also brings fun with ski areas nearby to visit, hot springs to soak in and endless opportunities for continuing an active lifestyle.
